Conditions were much better than they were in the preceding session, allowing for a long session and many galaxies observed in Leo Minor, Boötes and Serpens (Caput).
A session under decent skies, even when the astronomical twilight does not end this time of year. Observed carbon stars and open clusters in Hercules & Ophiuchus, followed
First session of this summertime astrotrip. Lightning from thunderstorms to the north interfered with observations. Observed carbon stars in Ursa Minor & Draco, followed by galaxies & asterisms
Great conditions this second session of the astrotrip. Observed carbon stars in Corona Borealis, Ophiuchus & Serpens (Caput), galaxies in Ursa Minor, 2 planetary nebulae in Draco and
Third night of the astrotrip and conditions were great. Started the session with galaxies in Hercules, followed by open clusters in Scutum and carbon stars in Cygnus.
Clear skies but definitely poorer transparency compared to the 3 preceding nights. Observed globular clusters in Ophiuchus, carbon stars in Sagittarius and open clusters & asterisms in
This fifth session of the trip transparency was suboptimal, but not as poor as the night before. A night of globulars: more in Ophiuchus, followed by
