The irregularities are probably the arms of this spiral galaxy. Dutch - Nederlands Grote, vage vlek, feller in het midden, onregelmatig van structuur, geen scherpe rand te zien. Structure somewhat recognizable, appears to be slightly elongated on the northeast side. Dutch - Nederlands Klein maar fel stelsel net ZZO van M31. | Messier 31 (NGC224) - "Andromeda Galaxy" | M31 | Galaxy | Andromeda | 00:42:44 +41°16'08" | ETX-125EC - 40mm Plössl | 48× / 58' | Nice, almost filling the field of view in the 40mm. eyepiece. Even larger with AV, especially the arms (visible as two wide streak on both sides of the bright nucleus) are well visible. It is notable that the bright nucleus is not in the middle of the nebulosity. Dutch - Nederlands Mooi, bijna beeldvullend in het 40mm. oculair. Met AV nog groter, met name de armen (te zien als twee brede vegen aan beide kanten van de heldere kern) zijn dan goed te zien. The background is nebulous due to (probably) many more stars. On the south side a notable orange color stars is visible in the top of a triangle of brighter stars. Dutch - Nederlands Mooi groot cluster, erg gespreid. De achtergrond is nevelig vanwege (waarschijnlijk) veel meer sterren. With AV the SW side appears slightly elongated and the cluster get a slightly oval shape. Dutch - Nederlands Mooi cluster, duidelijk een heldere kern met er omheen veel stof (resolvable sterren). A nice double, the colors are very clear even when B is considerably fainter. Directly below, at approximately ten times the distance is another star that appears blueish but is not part of this double. A golden, B purple-red. Dutch - Nederlands AB gesplitst. Mooie dubbel, de kleuren zijn erg duidelijk al is B een stuk minder fel. Rechts er onder, op ongeveer tien keer de afstand staat nog ster die er blauwig uitziet maar niet bij deze dubbel hoort. The brightest stars of this cluster form a "V" that is curved in the top. Several fainter stars are discernible in the middle of the cluster. Dutch - Nederlands Mooi cluster, opvallende gele ster rechtsonder in het cluster met daar linksonder van een ster die er iets blauwig uitziet. De felste sterren van dit cluster vormen een “V” die aan de bovenkant in een boog loopt. Several bright(er) stars are notable, two groups of two are almost (from west to east) in line with each other, just above the middle of the cluster. Other than this several fainter stars are visible. This object is probably much nicer to a dark adapted eye and a dark sky. Dutch - Nederlands Meer sterren te zien dan vanavond in M103 en M52. Een aantal felle(re) sterren vallen op, twee groepjes van twee staan bijna (van W naar O) in elkaars verlengde, net boven het midden van het cluster. Verder zijn er nog wat zwakkere sterren zichtbaar.
